The “Ride for a Cause” model of Wheels of Love enlists the participants in fundraising. As such, each participant is a vital partner in the success of the Ride. Each one of the participants inspires numerous friends, family members and colleagues to become involved by sponsoring them.
Each Wheels of Love rider commits to raise a minimum of $2,000. Many riders, however, set higher personal goals. From 2004 through 2009 the average amount raised by each rider per year was $5,000!
Approximately 70% of the money raised goes directly towards our goal of meeting the shortfall for each patient’s care, and thereby helps to ensure that our “special” children continue to receive the very best rehabilitation which they so richly deserve.
Each donation is registered in our computer system and credited to the participant.
