Your donors can sponsor you in the following ways :on-line credit card, fax/call-in credit card, cash or cheque through you or through the International ALYN Chapters and Friends around the world.
Please refer your donors to your personal bio page through the participants list or to the donations section. Following direct receipt by ALYN of a sponsorship in your name, you will be notified by email. Teams will be notified through the captain only. We will send out thank you notes and receipts to all sponsors.
Personal Donations Report
The Personal Donations Report will enable you to keep track of all donations made in your name. Please note that sponsorships given directly to ALYN Hospital will appear on your online donations report after the donation has been processed and sponsorships given through ALYN’s International Chapters and Friends will appear on the report only when the donation has been received in Israel.
Credit card donations
Donating from the US/Canada
Donations in US/Canadian dollars are processed by the American Friends of ALYN Hospital (AFAH) and involve the creation of an individual fundraising page in the name of the rider/volunteer on the AFAH web site. The pages are created automatically when you register for the Ride and you get a notification regarding their creation. Through this system the donor who wishes to receive US/Canadian tax deductible receipt can indicate if he/she wants his name and the amount to appear in the system. The rider/volunteer can edit and design the page, change the text and add personal pictures.
The pages show the donations given in the US and Canada accordingly. If you fundraise in other countries we recommend that you put a note on your US/Canadian Bio page that the sum which appears on this page is NOT the total amount.
Donating from the UK
Since our officially registered Friends of ALYN in the UK is run solely by volunteers who do not have a set-up by which to process credit card donations, if you wish to give your sponsors in England the opportunity to donate by credit card you must go to the charity website JUSTGIVING and set up an ALYN WOL page for yourself through which such sponsorships will be channeled by JUST GIVING to Friends of ALYN London and then onto us.
 Cash or cheque donations
Any cash or cheques which you collect from your sponsors must periodically be sent to one of the ALYN chapters with a Sponsor Tally Sheet (see below). Keeping a copy to compare with your online donations report is recommended.
Please ask your donors for their full names and complete addresses, including zip/postal codes, as these details must be written on the receipt. In the case of company cheques please indicate the name of the contact person.
Please type or print all names and addresses clearly onto the sponsorship tally sheet to ensure accurate processing. Please use Hebrew only when your sponsor wants to receive a receipt and thank you card in Hebrew.
Make sure that all cheques are made out properly (date, to whom it is payble, signature). We CANNOT accept any cheques made out to you personally.
Each sponsor tally sheet should relate to only one type of donation receipt.
Important information for your sponsor:
Any donations for which the sponsor needs a tax deductible receipt MUST be in by December 15th this year !
ALYN can issue tax deductible receipts in several countries. Shekel or foreign currency cheques can be made out to "ALYN Hospital" for Israeli tax receipts. For donations in other countries contributions should be made in the local currencies. The cheques should be made out to the local ALYN chapter. Refer to the chapter list |
