As part of their Bar Mitvah trip to Israel, Zac Emanuel, his cousin Noah and the rest of the delegation visited ALYN Hospital in Jerusalem today. Rahm Emanuel read about ALYN Hospital in the New York Times a few months back and decided to include it in their trip to Israel.
The delegation learned about the rehabilitation process that the children in ALYN undergo and the aspiration to help each child gain independent function according to their potential. The motto that the children go by is "Yes We Can"!.
In addition the children participated in extreme sport activity and planted an olive tree on ALYN's ground. At the end of the visit the Emanuel family gave the ALYN children toys and the ALYN children gave them arts and crafts that they prepared.
